May 2012

Wow! Sometimes I can’t believe that it has been 152 days!

I would like to thank you all for being part of my life through the blog. The Color and Theme Project has been a blessing for me! I’m learning a lot about slaying those giants! And I hope you are too!

I had to make an important decision… probably the most important one in about 11 years… Today I bought my ticket to go back for good to my home country, Brazil. When I say for good, I mean, no coming back here…

I love this country… I wish I could stay but there are so many things involved… But the best part is that I’m in peace with the decision! Also, the reason why I wanted to share this with you is because by taking a picture everyday and taking the time to pray and connect with God and sharing it all with you guys was and is such a great part of the process of making that decision… I have 152 proofs of God’s love and care for my life and my family… I’m convinced that He will be on my side… that He loves me… that He hears my prayers and that some things in life are not meant to be understood but yet to be accepted… I’ve grown so much in the past 5 months… and thank you for being part of it!

I still have 5 months in America! I’ll make the best of it! The blog continues for the rest of the year! No matter where I go!

Sincerely,

Camila!

PS: Stay with us 😉

Day 152 – On the sidewalk

Color and Theme Project: Week 5 – Color: Brown – Theme: Fear

I claim this scripture to overcome fear:

“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Psalm 118:6

(How much different our lives would be if we claim this verse as soon as the day starts?)

Day 151 – He is right there!

Color and Theme Project: Week 5 – Color: Brown – Theme: Fear

I claim this scripture to overcome fear:

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

Day 150 – We are safe…

Color and Theme Project: Week 5 – Color: Brown – Theme: Fear

I claim this scripture to overcome fear:

“Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.” Proverbs 3:25-26

Day 149 – Message from above

Color and Theme Project: Week 5 – Color: Brown – Theme: Fear

I claim this scripture to overcome fear:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

(I had to listen to my inner child for today’s picture… She told me that trees are supposed to be brown. I did not argue with her this time!)

Color and Theme Project Week #5

Hi everyone!

Well, is already Week #5! I had to choose this week’s color and theme… I randomly picked up the color brown and the theme is fear… I think I’m in trouble haha!

Here is what Dr. David Jeremiah says about fear:

“All of us have experienced some kind of fear. Are you afraid of heights or spiders? Maybe you’ve been told you have a serious disease or you fear getting cancer. It is important to know that fear steals away the very thing God wants to give us.”

I think is nice that we are starting the theme of fear right on Memorial Day… Our prayers go to all of men and women out there that are fearless to defend our freedom…

Stay with us…

Day 148 – Healed!

Color and Theme Project: Week 4 – Color: Red – Theme: Loneliness

I claim this scripture to overcome loneliness:

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalms 147:3

(What a beautiful verse to finish up the theme…)

Day 147 – Just as He promissed

Color and Theme Project: Week 4 – Color: Red – Theme: Loneliness

I claim this scripture to overcome loneliness:

“No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Joshua 1:5

Day 146 – Near to us!

Color and Theme Project: Week 4 – Color: Red – Theme: Loneliness

I claim this scripture to overcome loneliness:

“The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.” Psalm 34:18

Day 145 – Stop and think

Color and Theme Project: Week 4 – Color: Red – Theme: Loneliness

I claim this scripture to overcome loneliness:

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2

(I took some many pictures today… from flowers to playgrounds, buildings, red shoes, red bench… anything of any color… but nothing had really spoken to me… I got to a point that I told God: “What a difficult day…”

I knew I wanted to post this verse today and somehow I wanted the picture to have sort of a moving feeling but it was all in the back of my mind and throughout the day I had forgotten about it… I was then finally coming home and I just couldn’t resist the sunset… and again more and more pictures… But then, I got the red light… and in a split of a second it all made sense… We gotta stop thinking that we are alone… He is with us through it all… 🙂

Now, is that picture okay for the project or not??? Or should I waive it???)
