“…but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.” Isaiah 60:2b
(God speaks through music… no doubt about it… Here and there the right song plays right when I needed it, but the way He spoke to me today was really something… First of all I was planning on taking some pictures in the afternoon. But as I was going to work I was somehow led to the park I usually go… I went to a store close by to pay for something and I saw these flowers… Beautiful colors… I took some pictures right there and I knew then that the plan to take pictures in the afternoon was changed but I didn’t mind at all… So I went then to the park straight to the pier… I was already listening to a Christian song selection on Pandora… very random songs… The place was so empty and a felt such a desire to knee down and pray… So I did… I closed my eyes and prayed… With a sincere heart… telling God how I feel… I finished the prayer… Put the earphones back on and I hear not only my prayer to God but His answer… Somehow the flowers on the picture, they seem to be rising… at least for me… The song is Rise up by Third Day
Well, I was there when you were torn apart
Now a piece of you is gone
Somehow you wish that you could only find
A little strength to carry on
You’ve tried so hard to make it on your own
That your heart has come undone
So I am here to prove that I alone
Have the power to overcome
Don’t let your heart be troubled
This world will never keep you down
It will never keep you down
So rise up, my friend
No, this will never be the end
So rise up, my friend
And live again
I didn’t want you to feel this way
It’s not what life was meant to be
And so for you, my friend, I’ll take your shame
You can give it all to me
‘Cause you’ve wrestled demons every day
And they’ve dragged you to your knees
But in your weakness you will learn to find
That I will always be your strength
In life or in death
Through joy or regret
And all of the secret things you have done
No matter what comes, my friend
Nothing can keep you from the love of God)
