Day 343 – My collectibles

“As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.” 2 Samuel 22:31

(Today was moving day. We finally moved to our apartment. We were so busy moving that I couldn’t stop to take a picture. But I was thinking about it all day long. So, I took this one of my collectibles.

Things here are okay… I think now reality is hitting and I can’t avoid it anymore… But times like this of so much uncertainty is when a bible verse like this one hits the soul… Beacuse, as for God, his way is perfect.)

 

Day 296 – Throw the ball

“Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.” Hebrews 12:1

(About 5 years ago, after a church service, me and 2 other friends went to this park near my house. It was late at night and just us in the park. I found this baseball ball and we would throw the ball to each other and whoever had the ball would talk about the future and what we hoped for. It was such a sincere talk coming from the heart that I kept the ball to remember that moment…)

 

Day 258 – Closer than a brother

“A man that has friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24

(When I take this bus after work I pass by this mural. It always catch my attention… And today was the day… The bus stopped and I took the picture… It got me thinking about my friends… I’m so thankful for the few friends close than a brother that I have… And I hope they feel the same way about me.)

 

Day 257 – Carrousel!

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10

(I think they are “magical”…)

Day 247 – To know Him

“Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know Him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.” Hosea 6:3

(Is Labor Day today but it was like any other Monday for me… I had to work… and Mondays are usually long days… So, I’m sorry for the lack of creativity today… The picture is from the bible and the passage is Hosea 6:3 but is in Portuguese. I couldn’t find my English bible… As you may know by now, I’m Brazilian and Portuguese is my first language. I go to a Brazilian church so I read the bible in my language but I listen to more songs in English than in Portuguese… is all mixed up!! But I really like this verse and it’s on my mind for a quite some time now. I thought it would be good to share!!)

Day 231 – True joy

“… Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” Nehemiah 8:10b

(Just something colorful today! The bear is a piece from Romero Britto, a Brazilian artist known all over the world. I had the privilege to go to his gallery in Miami and I purchased the bear!! The titles surrounding the bear is my own art work! Full of color, full of the true joy that keeps me going!!)

Day 230 – Rusty chain

“You have freed me from my chains…” Psalm 116:16b

(I’m not writing much lately… Is because I’m working too much and I’m super tired and I just can’t put the words together… I wish sometimes I was a writer… Let’s see what happens tomorrow… Be blessed! :))

Day 227 – Sailing…

Day 203 – Waiting for us…

“So the Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help.” Isaiah 30:18

Day 186 – Free indeed!

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1

(Happy 4th of July! I’ve been celebrating this day for 11 years… Today was my last one here in America… I’ll make sure I’ll celebrate it no matter where I might be! This country is beautiful and I’m so grateful to have spent almost 12 years of my life here! And I’m even more grateful to Jesus and His ultimate sacrifice that set us free and free indeed!)
