Day 176 – Simplicity!

Color and Theme Project: Week 8 – Color: Green – Theme: Resentment

I claim this scripture to overcome resentment:

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:20-21

(For the past 3 days I’ve been posting the passage of Romans 12 from verse 17 to 21. It is a very powerful passage and a great remainder of how we should deal with people that hurt us…)

Day 169 – Looking forward

Color and Theme Project: Week 7 – Color: Blue – Theme: Discouragement

I claim this scripture to overcome discouragement:

“David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished.” 1 Chronicles 28:20

(Do not be Loodiscouraged, we got a lot to do!)

Day 168 – Cloudy sunset

Color and Theme Project: Week 7 – Color: Blue – Theme: Discouragement

I claim this scripture to overcome discouragement:

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12

(Is it blue enough?? I hope so… It was all I could think of after a long day at work…)

Day 167 – Blue sky

Color and Theme Project: Week 7 – Color: Blue – Theme: Discouragement

I claim this scripture to overcome discouragement:

“The eternal God is your refuge, and His everlasting arms are under you…” Deuteronomy 33:27a

(Early post before a busy Friday! Be blessed!)

Day 166 – Through the blue steps

Color and Theme Project: Week 7 – Color: Blue – Theme: Discouragement

I claim this scripture to overcome discouragement:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

(What an encouraging word! He is with us every step of the way!)

Day 165 – He heard my cry

Color and Theme Project: Week 7 – Color: Blue – Theme: Discouragement

I claim this scripture to overcome discouragement:

“From the ends of the earth I cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” Psalms 61:2

(He heard my cry. He hears yours… God is good!

When I read this verse I remembered this song from Nicole C Mullen

Day 164 – Finding courage

Color and Theme Project: Week 7 – Color: Blue – Theme: Discouragement

I claim this scripture to overcome discouragement:

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” Psalms 46:1-3

(I’m so blessed to live near the beach… I haven’t been there for weeks… I missed it so much… I knew that I had to go there. It is one of my favorite places to talk with God and find courage to face life!)

Day 163 – A good attitude!

Color and Theme Project: Week 7 – Color: Blue – Theme: Discouragement

I claim this scripture to overcome discouragement:

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalms 27:14

(I have an feeling that blue is going to be a difficult color… Well, I wanted to go to the beach today. After work I changed my route so I could catch the bus to the beach. As I was waiting for the bus there was the man who sells roasted coconut and the hot dogs. Is interesting that months ago I was observing the woman that also works there and I thought about taking a picture of them. It happen so that the man was wearing all blue and serving a man also in blue. I think this man and the woman that works there are very courageous… they are there throughout the year, always smiling and talking with people with such positive attitudes. Examples to follow! After that I did not go to the beach, well, I’ll go tomorrow.)
