Day 366 – Last day

31_DEC

“… now my eyes have seen you.” Job 42:5b

(Wow! Last day! I did it!!! Couple days ago I was thinking about what picture I would take for my last day… Then this caught my attention 2 days ago when I was taking another picture. The tree growing horizontally made me think about a timeline… Then, yesterday I went downstairs and took some pictures of it but hopping that I could take it again today… And it happened! I think this picture represent this project for me. The trees on each side like the beginning and the end and in the middle, all that happened this year…  It was a cycle that ended, but also it brings me the feeling that I have way more to see and to live! And surely I have seen God through it all!)

Day 365 – Peace in God

30_DEC

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Day 364 – Trust in God

29_DEC

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.” John 14:1

Day 362 – Hidden life

27_DEC

“I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night— but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you.” Psalms 139:7-12

(It is way to hot here in Brazil… I did not want to go out to take a picture today… So, I laid in my bed and saw my beautiful box that I brought with me with my stuff inside or I should say my life inside. I’m a secret person… It is difficult for me to verbalize and when I do I think people don’t understand… Anyways… I’ll open this box soon… and I’ll share about some stuff in 2013 on my new blog… The only one that knows it all is God… Nothing is hidden from Him.)

Day 361 – He sees us!

26_DEC

“You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” Psalms 139:15-16

(I’ve been wanting to take a picture of a baby for a quite long time… and today my little baby cousin Julia was born! I had the privilege to be there with my uncle and aunt! What a beautiful and blessed baby!!! What a great way to be reminded that God see us still…)

Day 360 – Nativity Scene

25_DEC

“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David  for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!” Isaiah 9:6-7

(One of my favorite passages… And another Christmas decor at home.)

Day 359 – It’s Christmas Eve!

24_DEC

“God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.” 1 John 4:9

(Christmas decor. After 11 years, it does feel good to spend Christmas with family but really weird to feel so hot and sweaty instead of cold and snow… 🙂 Merry Christmas!)

Day 357 – Beauty from the window

22_DEC

“Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.” Psalm 136:26

(My little camera really broke… with only 9 days to go… and here I just can’t go and buy a new one… it is way too expensive… And I just can’t picture myself without a camera… I’ve been carrying my little one for over 6 years I guess… I have to use the pro camera that I have… But I’m scared to walk around with it here… I guess it would be a extra challenge that I’ll have to figure out how to conquer till the end… This is taken from my living room window…)

From Day 353 to Day 356

Day 356 – A new beginning

21_DEC

“…Put on your new nature, created to be like God…” Ephesians 4:24a

(I was at the airport waiting for my flight to go back home. When I found out that I didn’t get the window seat I made sure I had the shot for today… and with all this talk about the world ending today and since the sky was kind of dramatic, I took this picture! And my camera just broke after that… Let’s see what happens tomorrow…

Well, now I’m back home… Not really excited about it… Is good to be with family, but now is time to face reality and find the right path for my life… just like a new beginning…)

19_DEC

“But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” Psalm 86:15

(I have to say that I had to Google Translate egret… I have no idea how it is called in English… Anyhow… what a beautiful bird… full of grace!)

//

Day 353 – Floating boat

18_DEC

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.” 2 Corinthians 9:8
