Day 360 – Nativity Scene

25_DEC

“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David  for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!” Isaiah 9:6-7

(One of my favorite passages… And another Christmas decor at home.)

From Day 349 to Day 352

I’ve been spending some days here with friends that is like family… Last time I came here it was 17 years ago and I fell in love with it… And I’ve been wanting to come back ever since…

Day 352 – Remembering…

17_DEC

“I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.” Psalms 91:14

//

Day 351 – Sunrise by the river

16_DEC

“Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.” Psalm 148:4

//

Day 350 – Dramatic sky

15_DEC

“Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow.” Psalms 25:4

//

Day 349 – Sunset by the Araguaia River

14_DEC

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37

Day 250 – Bird

“Then when you call, the Lord will answer. ‘Yes, I am here,’ he will quickly reply.” Isaiah 58:9

(I was determined to take a picture of a bird today. It has been a few weeks since I’ve been to this place and sure it felt good to be back there today. So good that after a short walk, I stopped and wondered if I could freeze the moment… So peaceful… the leaves falling, the birds singing and one squirrel running around and I thought that that is what heaven must feel like…)

Day 220 – Wisdom from above

“But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.” James 3:17

(I read this verse this morning and I really liked it! I wanted then take a picture of the sky… I felt it would be kind of repetitive since I’ve been taking lots of pictures of sunsets… But how can I not take these pictures??? It is so beautiful… and not repetitive… every day is a new surprise from God!)

Day 210 – To a special one on a special day!

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. ” Numbers 6:24-26

(Today this precious girl is turning 8! Her mom is my best friend! She is right now in Brazil for vacation… We already celebrated her birthday here like a month ago… But I still wish she was here today… I remember when she was born… She is so sweet… I love this bible passage and I really mean this blessing to her life! So, since she is not here, I took a picture of picture of her… I also posted a picture of her sister on her birthday as well but back then I wasn’t writing anything. These two girls mean the world to me… Definitely the hardest part of me moving back to Brazil is the fact that I won’t have them around… They taught me what friendship is all about… It is about breaking the barriers of age and just know that no matter what you go through, they will always be there for me as they always have been and I will always be here (or any place else) for them with my arms and heart always open… I love them…

*Happy 8th Birhtday!)

Day 171 – Peaceful place…

Color and Theme Project: Week 8 – Color: Green – Theme: Resentment

I claim this scripture to overcome resentment:

“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Matthew 6:14-15

(Forgive and be in peace!)

Day 141 – Dependent…

Color and Theme Project: Week 3 – Color: Orange – Theme: Doubt

I claim this scripture to overcome doubt:

“You, Lord give true peace to those who depend on You, because they trust You.” Isaiah 26:3

Day 139 – A better world

Color and Theme Project: Week 3 – Color: Orange – Theme: Doubt

I claim this scripture to overcome doubt:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

(Today I started a second job… Going home after work I was really looking for anything orange… but nothing came up… Then I remember the verse I had already chosen for today and as I was thinking about this that God’s ways is better and is like a better world that He has for those who trust Him. I remembered then the series of paintings that I called “The Butterflies World” that it means a better place, something new, different… you know something more… The first painting has a orange background and I knew then that this was going to be the picture for today!

Don’t doubt. Trust God. He has a better world for us!)

Day 129 – Our compassionate Father

Color and Theme Project: Week 2 – Color: White – Theme: Failure

I claim this scripture to overcome failure:

“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust.” Psalms 103:13-14

Day 127 – Peace and Hope

Color and Theme Project: Week 1 – Color: Purple – Theme: Guilt

I claim this scripture to overcome guilt:

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1

(Early post today. Woke up early to see the sunrise and what a privilege… I hope there is enough purple in the picture… I think so, do you?

This is one of my favorite places… I love this pier… He knew I needed to be there.

Is almost time to hit the road back home… and I glad I’ll go with this in my heart!)
