Day 364 – Trust in God

29_DEC

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.” John 14:1

Day 361 – He sees us!

26_DEC

“You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” Psalms 139:15-16

(I’ve been wanting to take a picture of a baby for a quite long time… and today my little baby cousin Julia was born! I had the privilege to be there with my uncle and aunt! What a beautiful and blessed baby!!! What a great way to be reminded that God see us still…)

Day 358 – Bedroom window

23_DEC

“Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him…” Ephesians 3:17a

(Shot from my bedroom window. I’ve been thinking a lot about this: What I see from my window or what I see through the window… I might develop the idea and incorporate it in my new blog for next year! I think that is a lot to tell in pictures like this… Let’s see what happens…)

Day 336 – One month later

01_DEC

“He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters for a boundary between light and darkness” Job 26:10

(Is hard to believe… A month ago I was taking a picture in Revere Beach, MA… Today I’m in Brazil in Jardim Camburi Beach… And I finally stepped in the beach… Even tough I’m in a tropical country, I haven’t been to the beach yet… This picture call tell you why. It has been raining a lot… The weather here is as crazy as New England weather… and on top of that we are still adapting… and taking it very slow… But this afternoon I just had to go there… It is indeed a beautiful beach and the sky was so dramatic creating a contrast between light and darkness…)

Day 264 – The dialogue…

“Then the Lord answered Job out of the strong wind and said… “Who shut up the sea with doors, when it rushed out from its secret place? I made clouds its clothing, and put much darkness around it. I marked the places where it could not pass, and set locks and doors. And I said, ‘You will come this far, and no farther. Here will your proud waves stop.’” Job 38:1, 8-11

Day 224 – Parents

“Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” Exodus 20:12

(Tomorrow is my mom’s birthday! And today’s post is to honor them! Dad’s birthday was on the 3rd. That is an old picture of them but is the only one that is not packed. I wanted to get their wedding picture but that is not possible…

So, mom, happy birthday! Thank you so much for your love and unconditional care! Love you!)

Day 223 – Open the floodgates

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” Malachi 3:10

(This verse is usually used for the offering time at the services. I wasn’t thinking about this verse when I took the picture but I think the verse applies to it… Feels like floodgate is open in a abstract sort of way… And is always a good reminder that not only with our money tithing but also with everything in our lives…)

Day 216 – Taking a break

“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:14

(I kind of like benches… I don’t know why, I just like them! This one is near my job and I often sit there when I need a break from everything to meditate…

By the way, today is my Dad’s birthday! Well, I usually take pictures of family when is their birthday but since we are moving to another country we are already packing and the picture frames and photos are already packed… Both my parents don’t know about this blog… and dad doesn’t like to celebrate his birthday… but my mom’s birthday is coming up on the 12th and I’ll see if I can find a picture of them! Even tough my dad doesn’t know about the blog, I just wanted to say Happy Birthday Dad! Thank you so much for everything you taught me… I still learn so much with you! Thank you for everything you do for me! I love you!)

Day 210 – To a special one on a special day!

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. ” Numbers 6:24-26

(Today this precious girl is turning 8! Her mom is my best friend! She is right now in Brazil for vacation… We already celebrated her birthday here like a month ago… But I still wish she was here today… I remember when she was born… She is so sweet… I love this bible passage and I really mean this blessing to her life! So, since she is not here, I took a picture of picture of her… I also posted a picture of her sister on her birthday as well but back then I wasn’t writing anything. These two girls mean the world to me… Definitely the hardest part of me moving back to Brazil is the fact that I won’t have them around… They taught me what friendship is all about… It is about breaking the barriers of age and just know that no matter what you go through, they will always be there for me as they always have been and I will always be here (or any place else) for them with my arms and heart always open… I love them…

*Happy 8th Birhtday!)

Day 182 – Be thankful

Color and Theme Project: Week 9 – Color: Black – Theme: Worry

I claim this scripture to overcome worry:

“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15
