Day 348 – Another pretty flower

“My heart is confident in you, O God; my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing your praises!” Psalm 57:7
//
Day 347 – On the road

“You will succeed in whatever you choose to do, and light will shine on the road ahead of you.” Job 22:28
(Travelling on the road to see my friends and listen to God… This is going from Goiania, the capital of the state of Goias to Barra do Graças in Mato Grosso)
//
Day 346 – The window seat again!

“Honor and majesty surround him; strength and beauty fill his sanctuary.” Psalm 96:6
I came to realize that I love to fly! And when I can get the window seat is even better! I always see the majesty of God when I’m flying… I love to see the cities, the fields, the clouds, the colors, the designs nature draws on the land… Is so inspiring… This was when the airplane was taking off from São Paulo to Goiania.)

“It is pleasant to see dreams come true…” Proverbs 13:19a
(Well, it is! I always wanted to fly a balloon… I always thought of them as “magical”… We I decided to go back to Brazil I knew that this dream would have to come true here… So, I schedule the flight for like a month ago but it was raining and I could only reschedule for today. A friend of mine went with me and she was so scared, I was so tired and the forecast was showing rain and I must confess that I was accepting that fact that this dream would not come true… I had to call the pilot last night to confirm the flight and he said that the conditions were great… So, I woke up very early because we were about 40 min away and it was the sunrise flight but I was so discouraged and I pray to God something like show me i you want this to happen… Then I opened an daily devotional and the first thing I read is: “Dreams come true” and Proverbs 16:1. Well… I have no doubt that God wanted me to experience this… not only the amazing views, watching the sun rise from a higher level, feeling so serene and listening to the sound of the silence… but most of all, I think that He wanted me to know that dreams come true… And I needed the hear that… By the way, I had used Proverbs 16:1 before and I choose this other verse. Also, if you want to experience an surreal, serene, awe experience, go on an balloon flight!)

“The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3
(The windows were big at the hotel room in Pennsylvania. It was early morning. The sun was rising and I knew it was a moment to be captured. Most of them were having breakfast but I got my camera and exited the building through another door. The more I walked around more amazed I felt… What a beautiful scenery… When I am with a group of people at a camp or a field trip I usually get away to explore the nature around… Today as I was taking the pictures, I realized that I could not see how far the trees, the hill could go… Everything just faded in the horizon… I thought about God and His love for us… We can never see it’s end…)

“Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil.” Proverbs 15:16
(Today we went to see some of the Amish farms. They are just beautiful! I learned a lot about the Amish and I was very surprise to see how I thought they lived by reading books and watching movies about them, different from their reality. Well, I always admire them… i don’t necessarily agree with everything they do but I really like how they just keep it simple… Busy but yet simple…)

Real Abstract Project – Post #2
If God Loves Me, Can I Count on Him to Always Love Me?
“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.” Isaiah 54:10
Fortunately, God’s love doesn’t depend on how well we love Him back. We don’t earn it, deserve it, or maintain it. God loves you at the top of the mountain, and He loves you equally in the depths of the valley. There is marvelous power, astounding power, supernatural power that comes when we cease our striving and simply begin to trust the rope—the infinite love of God. You need never let go of your hope because God will never let go of His love for you. ~ Dr. David Jeremiah
(It was around 5:20am. I was at the station waiting for the bus to go to work. To my right, I could see what would be the beginning of a beautiful day. Then I started to listen to music and randomly the first song that played was “I could sing of your love forever”. Well, I knew right there that today’s picture would be an “abstract” one… So, instead of trying to capture the sunrise, I capture what was in front of me while the song was playing… As if I was telling Him that doesn’t matter what I go through, I could sing of His love forever… Only He knew that throughout the day I would feel so sick (headache still as I write now…) that I wouldn’t be able to do anything else but lay in bed… The picture may not be that good… but what I felt this morning was… and I’m satisfied with that! And remember, God loves you. He always has, He always will.)

“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalms 32:7
(I was under my umbrella at the bus stop on my way to work. Rain was pouring. I took a picture.)

“… for God is love” 1 John 4:8b
(Ok, I would like to introduce you to my new project that I’m finishing up putting together now as I write! Pablo Buitrago, a fellow blogger posted his #261 post and I had it stuck in my mind… I thought it was a cool idea and that I would somehow come up with something similar… I guess today is the day! Well, first of all I love the idea of abstract… I’m mainly an abstract painter and I get it you know… Is like the beauty of hidden feelings type of thing for me… So, in this project I’ll be shooting abstract things… I’ll let myself loose and try to see the abstract within the real… I will also let myself crop the images in addition to adjusting the levels and that’s all for editing… Now talking about the verses that I plan on post… I was doing some research and ended up on Dr. David Jeremiah’s website and he has a new book called “God Loves You: He Always Has—He Always Will” where he will answer these kind of questions: If God Loves Me, Why Can’t I Feel It? and If God Loves Me, Why Do I Run From Him? and more… So basically is about God’s love for us. Now, how does the abstract idea of the photos tied with God’s love? Well, I think that we know that God’s love is real but sometimes it seems so abstract to us that we just can’t figure it out… and let’s face it… we all go through that at some point in our lives… I’ll also let myself loose here and post about it when I feel like and I just ordered the book now so I have to wait till it comes… So, I guess is not only about the concept of God’s love with the abstract idea but also is about me getting loose in many aspects! Believe me… I need these 3 things at this time… Let’s see how it goes… I just need a name for it… Any ideas??)
